Perm Ban Request

I'm posting on the behalf of three members: liamddburke, platypus57, and satpat.

There has been a sligght issue and abuse of power. One donor, Nearbeer, has been abusing his priveledges given by donation. Alot of agitated chat was occuring because nearbeer was repeatedly killing these three players. I investigated (and tried to help by killing beer), he was tp-ing to them and killing, then vanishing rapidly. I warped to spawn and watched him appear there several times, obviously fleeing return attacks. His teleporting was done without permission and used soley for unprovoked slaughter and theft. This is clearly against rules as cited here:

Just because you donate to the server, does not mean that you are exempt from punishment for breaking any of these command specific rules that apply to donator+. This Donator for the Day scheme is also a test of how well you cope with commands that can be potentially abusive, so:

You may not use any of the commands listed to assist in killing or attacking any player. For example, you may not teleport to a player and kill them."

Its first on the list.

Idk how to record in game video, so i cant show this in action, but i witnessed it, and i'm sure these three users can verify it. Therefore i'm sure we all request a perm ban of nearbeer.

I'm sure this should be a simple matter with so many involved parties.

technically, teleporting to spawn isn't an abuse of donor power, because everyone can use /spawn. If you can prove that he used /tp to get to them, instead of /warp or a /home (if it was public), then that may be premise for ban/demotion.

i cant without video. but he did pop out of thin air onto a moving player which he then killed. all i got is my eye witness an their input haha

very good sir. i feel confident he'll see i'm right.. i've had my fair share of trouble with this user as well and i know he's just out to cause trouble

and i didnt mean he tp to spawn was abuse, i juust mean he was tp-ing to kill

If you think it_might_be wrong, DO NOT DO IT. This list WILL be modified based on new plugins, updates in MC, etc. Rules WILL be made up for specific situations, and we will punish you accordingly.

Pat also told me never tp away right after a kill in pvp.

well that wasn't me tp'ing to get there OR away, might as well appeal.

Anyways, a home was placed right near the base so that near could use it for PvP. At the moment, the appropriate action is being discussed. Anything lost in the killings will be reimbursed and the home removed.

so whats the deal is nearbeer getting permabanned and we get our stuff back or is he temp banned so he can come back and abuse his powers even more? just curious

Near has been on the server for ages, quite a bit longer than me, if he gets perma banned a large portion of the community will collapse D:

Besides, a survival server with no PvP isn't a challenge...

God damnit he didn't even use his donor powers he used /spawn firstly stop fucking crying because you got killed jesus its a pvp server I get killed all the time when I'm just sitting there dwarf kills me and goes to spawn should he be banned? He did use my /home (not being serious) but like the whining over pvp is just ridiculous go join creative server you nubs

Well now that I'm temp banned for 3 days for fighting using the /home I'm wondering why when some one Tp's to a town its ok if they just randomly start killing when you go back to the town of cource there not there they Tp to to spawn or there house I've seen people in tim pvping from dwarfitup of orc to yardwood and the list goes on.

I think the new rule is no tp if its a /warp /home or a tp to directly after combat.

You guys used a /home specifically set for pvp, which is against the rules. It wasn't like you /home'd to their home, you set one.

So its fine to /spawn liek a coward after a kill? I understand the whole /home thing

I think nearbeer should be banned. he repeatedly keeps killin, griefing,etc.

He doesn't grief at all as far as I know (on this server) and killing is fine
