Server Closing

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO....the server. Well, lads, i was hoping to join up again for the grand 1.5 server. I am now saddened to this fact. I am looking forward to playing with you all again eventually. And i hope for the new world download for the supposed 1.5 server and the 1.3 server...

It was just really, really bad timing that put the last nail in the coffin.

The map downloads are up, but I'll be taking them down shortly when I cancel my server subscription. If you want them, start downloading them today.

where are they exactly?

was the download the old freed's world?

they take a while to move, currently the future is the only one in there

MAPS wonderful! With this one I can actually finish my manor build! (I wonder if I will use creative, or go it out in survival in the spirit of freeds...)

Any one of the freed maps are probably more important to me than all of my single player worlds put together >_>

So, what was Worldie? The future was the freeds U map from before the merge, i think, but i do not recall playing on a Worldie, yet that has the items i was carrying.

I don't know the name. All that was done though was the spawn. I kinda wanted to use that world.

Worldie was orc's world that we got from the transfer; TheFuture was the latest Freeds Universe map.
The one prior to that was Earth, prior to that was world, and prior to that was the second Freeds Universe, and prior to that was the original map iirc.

Original map is the only one I dont know. Earth was multi-generational, as I recall. It was the 1.8 map, where the Assassins became big in Sparta since we lost Sherman Memorial, and there we had our war with the Trojans, but then also the Minecraft official release map, where we got towny, and it was good, but things fell apart when they started doing updates every other week and our playerbase left. The second Freeds Universe... i dunno man.. hard to compete with the memories... and the memorial . Lets see, thats where I started off, in Grinder city, it had Fondor, the original Sparta was built and active during that map, but beforemy active time. The assassins became a safehouse from Arz0n, as well as the scorn of just about all of the active staff. Good times. The future was when I started doing more my own thing (although when it was first released I did travel about it making cobble tower outposts in case I could organize Renais and start an Empire connecting them) with just platy and me making a little manor. It was fun, in a relaxed sort of way, it felt like it was all winding down, waiting for something to happen, chillin in the meantime.

God I loved this server.

The spawn we were working on for 1.5 is floating around, ill post it when I can.

thanks fermis. Lorecraft, that story reminds me of the olden days on orcworm. Those were good. full server and Nero was at full power to destroy them noobs. Ah, the times have changed.

Earth is being posted tonight. Tomorrow I will be taking the rest of the files off and looking around on the old server for the older maps. By this weekend I will no longer have control over the box (ie all files will be off)

I'll have a copy of everything important, but if you want a map in a reasonable time, download it in the next couple days.
