Post by avengexxwin Tue Oct 18, 2011 9:26 pm

id like to start by saying in no way do i intend to offend anyone.
when im online i will sometimes walk around and check for griefed homes and sorts. when i find something i will ask a mod/admin to come take a look at it. sometimes they will help nut a lot of times they will tell me 1 sec and then never show up. im hoping that something will be done so that more people have the ability to fix grief or that more people will be online or will be responsive that can.

    thank you

    staff: k on it
person 2, 3, 4 (Insert staff name here) can you help me?
staff: ignores people hoping that they will spontaneously learn to read
    person 2,3,4: hey! hey! hey!
    staff: hold on
    person 2,3,4 k
    5 seconds later
    person 2,3,4 help me plz

Exactly, and yes I did forget today avenge.. thats my fault, but you do not need to search for grief.

And also. Admins aren't supposed to look for griefs. If someone finds a grief, we come and fix it. But if to you it looks like a grief, but the person was actually building with someone there, we don't want to ban them. So the safest bet for staff is to wait until the person who owns the property reports the grief

Frankly, you shouldn't be running around looking for griefs. It's not illegal to go in other people's houses and such, but there's just no reason to.
it's just best case scenario for staff to not assume without the owner's input

I know. but seriously think about it from our point of view. We don't want to ban someone without knowing whether or not they're allowed to build

It does sound illogical for us to ask you to not look for grief, but its actually not. We'd rather let the owners of the property complain if its grief or not. Obviously if you see someone at spawn dumping lava, report it to staff or the forum.

Thanks for looking for grief, but its best if you refrain from doing so. Wink

IMO the only times to report grief are

    A) You built it, and it got in your opinion, Messed Up(And your Co-Owner friend didn't do it)
    B) It is a "Public Area" (Spawn)

What we're trying to say is, we don't want to know that there is grief at some random house unless that random house belongs to you.
