Ok so i was at my nether fortress over some lava mining out some nether bricks when all of a sudden i fall through my /mc and land in the lava and die. I never turned it off and i lost full diamond armour a diamond pick a diamond sword 13 stacks of nether brick and a few other random items. Can i be refunded or no?

Not sure on whether or not you can be refunded. But I will say this much...
1) MC is not perfect, in fact far from it, it only really can maintain that ability to not fall off of it on a direct connection to the server. It does try to catch you a lot of the time. but there will be that time it doesn't.
2) Always use a compass if you think your going to die, and if your above lava-y death. don't move quickly on the carpet. slow movement down. and use /mc 7.
That should be enough to prevent this in the future, as for the diamonds up to Pat.
