Random Ban?

It says I was banned for Griefing. Can someone tell me what I griefed?

You took the Melons from Rang3r's farm when there's a sign that says "Do not use"

How did you get into the farm?

There was an opening near the back where the panels were , and it's not griefing, I only took the melons, not the stems, (I was told earlier) Then I felt nice (even though rang3r constantly kept killing me while I was shopping) And replaced the broken panels.

the panes were still broken. I agree that taking melons but leaving the stem is not griefing, but there is a sign that says "do not use." If you are getting into someone's farm via a way that was obviously griefed, you shouldn't take the plants. I, personally, don't think you should have been banned, that was 3z's doing

Yeah that's kinda my point. The way you got in, you obviously wouldn't have seen the sign, but by that same token, you shouldn't have been going in that way. You didn't grief, but you took advantage of a grief. It's up to 3z

Also taking melons and not tilling the land doesnt make them grow. Thats why I hate people using my melon farm cause they dont till the dirt.

well yeah, 3z, but the gray area here is he didn't get into the farm that way... he got in through the hole someone else made, so they didn't see the sign

They didn't read the sign, so they didn't know, yet the sign was still there

So, how can you tell if someone isn't just lying about it? Ofc, in this case its obvious that he could miss the sign.
For future referance I sugest putting a sign right next to the crops. That way if something is taken right next to it, then its not a matter of poor observation skills.
