Here's the plan. The UN rallies together and launches all of the nuclear weapons at disposal at the Sahara Desert. On impact, the desert will be super-heated into glass, which in turn would reflect the sun back into the atmosphere dramatically lowering global temperatures. This will end Al Gore's cruel reign of tyranny over all people concerned with global warming.

you know, I think that desert is doing its job already, It also plays a role when it come to our stable enviormental cycle. Cant remember the details tho :/
