The Plan for 1.8

Changes will be made depending on input.


1. Pat, (or others) will be making a large warehouse that will have rooms (yes rooms they are necessary to prevent stealing) and people can claim these rooms, lock the door, and fill it with whatever crap you need. All rooms inside the building will be transferred to the 1.8 world.

2. Because everything will be unlocked after the WE move, make sure you place a sign with your name on it above the door of your room. Make sure that sign is locked.

3. Staff will be the first people online, and we will lock all the doors/chests/signs to prevent people from stealing. simply ask us to open the chests and doors.

4. 2 weeks after the new map is made the warehouse will be removed, and all unclaimed items will be burned.

5. The current map will be available for download so you can use it in your own server, or your single player.

6. Particularly large builds will be saved. Otherwise We will be starting from nothing but the items we save.

Input is appreciated. make sure all of those you have contacts with who have put time into the server are aware of this.

Sounds like a great plan. when will this warehouse be up and where on the map will it be?

Most likely there will be a warp to it. and it will be up when 1.8 comes out (We wont update for a while cause we need the plugins)

will donators who have 50x50 plots be getting new ones?

All donor perks will be available in the new map, ie freed, name, commands, zone, etc.

I demand credit for the warehouse thing >:C I was the one who said 'put all of your stuff in the nether so it's saved' in the first place

Any idea on how many chests each member will get?

Well i can see why that would be the case for most members, but i just started playing minecraft (and ive only ever played multiplayer on this server) and accumulated materials to build stuff, to then find out the server was getting reset. Its not a huge deal, was just curious.

it's a warehouse, not the nether. And probably more than you need. I can't imagine you'll need more than 1-2 double chests...

Yeah, you'll get plenty of room for your stuff.

Yeah. You pretty much only want to bring over your important materials... don't bring over like 5k cobblestone or dirt... bring your diamond, redstone, coal, iron, maybe some wood, some smooth stone if you want, obsidian, mossy cobble, slimes... pretty much anything you can't get in like 10 seconds

I was not planning on bringing that amount of crap with me. Mainly 5 chests. Primarily I was bringing enough crap along that I could build a temporary place of residence till I got things up and running.

5 chests? what do you need to put in 5 chests?

and crankk. It's kinda a recommendation, but also kinda guidelines... don't expect to be able to store every single item you have... it's like a soft reset. You'll lose the stuff that doesn't really matter, and keep the important things

wow is five chest too much? Can you give me a hint on how many chest I should plan to fill. I was not planning on taking EVERYTHING I own

like 3 ish. I can't imagine you'll need more than 81 slots
