New Map For 1.8?

Are we going to have a new map for 1.8? And if so, what will become of the old map?

Its being discussed atm, various options are being considered, we could bring everybodys stuff over to the new map and have the server down for a week, take nothing and have the server up in 1 hour (takes awhile to generate maps) or take some stuff over like big structures (take about 4-5 hours) and there is tons of more ideas, just wait to find out.

I'd be happy with a chest or two full of items. I'm already worken on a reset survival kit
As far as structures, im honestly looking forward to re-building from scratch. Just my $.02

I don't mind building from scratch. Although I wouldn't mind bringing a few chests full of stuff with me. Either way I will be happy. This server rocks

I think it would be good for us to start from scratch. Maybe a few donator buildings can be transferred if they really want them, and of course have the current map available for download.

You can fill the old map with tnt and grief the whole thing for youtube. After you dl it of course.

What do the players want to see?

I can easily leave behind my structures. I tend to lose interest in them shortly after I build them.

But some chests of items would be good.

Just my vault copied over would be nice

So items and a few hard to build structures.

Throwing my hat into the items/ chests ring.

personally I rather would start from scratch and just bring a few chests over full of items

that's kinda hard to do... because we can only select one cube at a time... we could select only the stone in a certian cube, but then it might bring random stone from people's houses over

either way should be fun if it happens.
