New Nether

Patrick you said something about reloading the nether? getting a new map for the nether? well me and my friend (crafter1479) have started a build in there and if you are, i hope you tell me in the forums or in game so we can stop the build and gather all are stuff out of there before the new nether comes and we lose are stuff

Yea i know but when i was on he said he might reload the nether or something to make it lag less once he made it work in the new world

Im not sure its a bit confusing if you dont realy understand this i just need patrick to say yes or no about makeing a new nether so me and my friend can build there and not have are stuff dissapearing

Ah right I see, it was a bit laggy. As far as I know though he just means he'll keep the same nether and just refresh it basically like how you reload a web page if it's going slow.

so that wont destroy my stuff?

I doubt it, there will prob be like a 5 minute backdate but nothing substantial, I don't see any reason to completely make a new one.

Sorry for explaining poorly yesterday, I am going to expand the current nether to a certain size, smaller than the main world but the scale will be different so like you will walk 100 blocks in the nether and go 1000 blocks on the main world (numbers are off but you get the idea)

But i started building will it affect buildings?

pat u realize that if u make the nether smaller there r gonna be little to no nether forts. I had to go 4500 blocks in the nether just to find one nether fort. Another way of saying this is that we got really unlucky with this generation and the nether is poor with resources. I say if cole isn't too far with his build we just generate a new nether. (nothing against u cole)

btw it is one block in the nether=8 blocks in the real world

There was a nether fort immediately outside the portal plat built....


Also, he's not changing the size of the nether, he's changing the scale of it. Where you said 1 block in the nether is 8 in the real world is what he's changing, so it'd be like 1 block in the nether would be 10 blocks in the real world.

That and he said he is going to EXPAND the nether's actual size, not make it smaller you baboon.
