did you try restarting the minecraft client?

ok so now it works but now i cant update to 1.5 i deleted every un update thing but it wont let me?

delete your minecraft jar

Wont that delete all my saves

not if you just delete the .jar

Your saves are in %appdata%/.minecraft/saves
To delete the jar file you can either manually navigate to it at %appdata%/.minecraft/bin and its in there, or in command prompt you can put
del %appdata%/.minecraft/bin/minecraft.jar
to get to command prompt hold the windows key and press r, then type cmd or in the start bar type into the search box cmd and run that.
