Actually a temp map might be a great thing, because when we inevitably bring back the current map so people don't lose all their hard work they already have stuff on a 1.3 map that they can go back to. Unless of course we don't keep said map.

I'm reading about all this talk of new map with only two double chests worth of stuff so on and so forth and im TOTALY against that idea. I don't think it is fair that we put all this hard work into our builds and gathering only to have them deleted and basicly wasting so much of our time. I would like to know if this will or will not happen. Thanks

I'll answer, because I'm at work.
The reason people want a reset is because they get bored. Once I have a bajillion diamond and 2 doublechests chock-full of redstone, there's no reason to mine anymore. So then I build, and I make a few builds in my area, and then it's like, boring.
Plus, I built too close to spawn, so now I have all these neighbors, so I can't mine out any further and I can't build out any further.
