Cool story, not your appeal, you weren't involved and he already has one. So sadly it is not a valid story.
Also, can anyone even read for Christ sake!? Or see for that matter. It was NOT just the diamond from outside spawn, that (although also very serious) was the minor part!
I'm fairly sure too that if there were a bunch of diamond blocks around spawn I would not try to steal them, because that is completely retarded.

I saw all these diamond blocks. One day this guy came on hacked like 1k diamond blocks placed them around outside spawn and just started killing people.
