Minecraft is horribly coded. Java of all languages is one of the worst it could have been written in. What they have done is really complicated but the memory usage of java is horrible for a game like this.

This is what i been saying for awhile fermis. If Jeb really wants to make minecraft a great game, he will import the code onto a well built engine.

the problem is java and the way it is written. If it was badly written in c or c++ it would run better.
